Global Schoolhouse Celebration                   
Please join the fifth graders to celebrate their Global Schoolhouse Research Project:

                                                                

Where:  Chamberlin School Gym and Rainbow Room
Time:      6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Who:       All families and community members and organizations are invited

Come visit one of the ten countries studied.  Enter a classroom to see what it would like like in a different country, how students learn and what they learn.  Fifth grade students will explain to you why their educational system is different than ours in America. 
Share in the International Buffet that will be available in the Rainbow Room provided by fifth graders and their families.  Donations will be accepted and all donations will be sent to Heifer International.  For more information about Heifer, please click on the photo below.

Kate Messner, author of Spitfire, spent the day on May 12 with our Fourth and Fifth Grade classes.  She t provided  grade level presentations and small workshops throughout the day with some  students.   Please click on her photo for more information.

The fourth and fifth grade students had an opportunity to listen to the author of Counting on Grace, one of this year's Dorothy Canfield Fisher's book nominations, Elizabeth Winthrop, on September 27.  Please visit her web site for additional information about her. 

The students in the photograph below all attended the Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award Ceremony on May 22, 2007 and listened to Elizabeth Winthrop provide a wonderful presentation.
