During Chamberlin's Day of 1000 Stars, star readers from our community visited each classroom to share their love of reading with Chamberlin students. Our star readers included firefighters, police officers, UVM hockey players and their coach, Champ the mascot of the Vermont Expos, Jerry Greenfield the Co-founder of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Adjutant General Martha Rainville, Governor Jim Douglas, Mayor Peter Clavelle, Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie, Congressman Bernie Sanders, South Burlington Superintendents JoAnn Canning and David Young, and South Burlington High School Principle, Pat Burke, among others. Day of 1000 Stars was a wonderful event which inspired our students and we are very grateful to those who joined us! |
