EVALUATION CRITERIA |
Content of electronic
resource: What is the scope of material covered, does it meet the demands of the
curriculum and outside interests of students and others, and in so doing, the
mission of Chamberlin Elementary School.
Authority: Is the
provider of the information listed, and if so, can it be determined if the
source is an authority? Is
the site maintained by a college or university (.edu), a reputable
organization (.org) or the government of the United States (.gov) or similar
authority, or is the site commercial (.com). If the site claims to be objective
is it?
Presentation: Is the
site navigable or is it intimidating? Is the material arranged in some logical
pattern? Websites should
contain appropriate graphics, a site map, and help links.
Relation to Similar works:
Does the electronic source consider the subject matter it covers and its
reliability.
Current or Obsolete:
Is the web sites “last revised” date reasonable?
Value: Is the site
worth its hardware and maintenance costs?
