G is for games
Native Americans played lots of games. They played games for births, deaths, celebrations and ceremonies. One of the games was shinny. Shinny was played by all tribes. Shinny was played like field hockey or ice hockey. Women were allowed to play. In the Eastern Plains they used a ball made from buffalo hide. People of the Arikaras tribe killed members of any team that beat them in shinny.
