Objectives/Learning Outcomes

Observe that hanging objects always point in the same direction.  Gravity is the force that causes smaller objects to move toward the center of the earth.  Other bodies in space also have gravity.  (Sun, Planets, Moons)

An experiment called "Which Way Is Down" in Janice VanCleave's Gravity published by John Wiley and Sons, Copyright 1993 shows the pull of gravity on an object toward the center of the earth.
