| Were you born
between the days of March 21st and April 20th? If you are than you are
an Aries, just like me If you have no idea what I'm talking about than
I'll tell you more about this interesting constellation. This info I
got from a Zodiac Talisman card I found in a store, It says..........
"Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It's character is about
newness. Aries natives are good at beginning things. They are
said to be young souls, but it is said that many ancient spirits take
their birth under it's sign to enjoy lives marked by simplicity and
youthful zest. Aries can be forceful to people. Their
willingness to 'ram' their way through situations can alienate
those around them, if it's not softened by a bit of introspection and
empathy. Aries gets it's name from the Greek God of war.
It's impulsive and forceful nature can make the perfect ally for those
in need of friends to rally their aid. Like worriers,
Aries natives price the values of loyalty honor, and and keeping
their word. In spite of their warlike nature, Aries can be
subtle and sensitive, like the poet warriors of ancient Greece."
Anouther story is the story of Jason and Argonauts and their quest for the golden fleece. The fleece came from when Mercury the messenger of the gods, found that two of King Thebes children (Phrixus and Halle) were being treated badly by their stepmother Ino. Mercury sent a supernatural ram, which could speak and reason, to rescue the two children. The children escaped by clinging to the fleece on the ram as it flew (I did mention it flew didn't I?) to Colchis, unfortunately for Halle, she fell off and into the sea and drownd. There is a city near Istanbul with the name of Halles pont (named for her?). When Phrixus arrived safely, at Colchis, he sacrified the ram in a sacred grove, he hung the fleece up, where it turned to gold. Even though Aries might not be your birth constellation, I still think it is pretty cool.
